Evangers Gets Yet Another Warning letter


Evanger’s is in the news again
May 18th, 2011 at 2:27:44 pm On May 5th 2011, the FDA sent yet another warning letter to Evanger’s.

A few interesting quotes:

Under Section 403(b) of the FD&C Act, 21 U.S.C. � 343(b), a food is deemed to be misbranded if it is offered for sale under the name of another food. This product was offered for sale under the name of �(b)(4) Lamb and Rice Dog Food.� However, the analytical sample results did not detect the presence of lamb, but detected the presence of bovine material.

Under Section 403(a)(1) of the FD&C Act, 21 U.S.C. � 343(a)(1), a food is deemed to be misbranded if its labeling is false or misleading in any particular. The labeling indicates that Evanger�s Grain-free Duck Pet Food contains duck, but the analytical sample results did not detect the presence of duck in the product. Read the entire letter here:
