KKR (Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts) has made an $18.50 a share offer for Del Monte Foods, the human being and pet foods manufacturer, valuing the company at almost $3.6bn. Neither KKR or Del Monte have as yet made any public comment on the reported offer.
