1999 Interview With Past President of AAFCO Herchel - THE FDA *does allow* rendered products in or pet foods and that includes *Fluffy* !! When the interviewer asked Herschell Pensdall, the then president of AAFCO if rendered products were allowed in pet foods, is response to the interviewer was there is no written regulation or law prohibiting it. Then when asked if we can tell from the labels what is really in the food, he quickly admits, rather casually, that *fluffy* goes in pet foods along with cattle, sheep horses etc.
